Hawken’s Ella Wong closed out her freshman season with a 17th-place finish at the 2019 OHSAA Division II state golf tournament.
Wong shot an 81 on the first day and closed out the two-day event with an 80 to finish with a total of 161.
The 2019 CVC Chagrin Division MVP, Wong also placed second at the sectional tournament and third at districts.
Hawken’s boys’ team finished in eighth place as a team at the Division II state tournament. The Hawks shot a 350 on Day 1 and closed out the tournament with a 345 to finish with 695 strokes as a team.
Thomas Wong shot a 168 to tie for 32nd place overall and Drew Covitt was right behind him with a 169. Tommy Hill shot a 173 to tie for 42nd, Quinn Petersen finished with a 185, good for 59th place and Cooper Bryan placed 66th with a 195.
