Lakeside wrestlers earn district berths

Three Lakeside wrestlers finished among the top four at the Division I Brecksville-Broadview Heights sectional tournament on Saturday and will compete at the Hoover district tournament next weekend.

Lucas Eland was the Dragons’ top finisher as he finished as the runner-up at 113 pounds.

Devon Orsulic (144) and Christian Fleissner (285) both finished fourth.

The Dragons also have four other wrestlers who will serve as district alternates after placing fifth at their respective weight classes.

Alfonso Rodrigo (126), Jacob McRae (150), Garrette Siebeneck (175), and Kaleb Scaine (215) each finished fifth and have the potential of competing at Hoover if one of the top four place-winners from the Brecksville sectional are unable to compete.

Hassani Sy placed sixth for the Dragons at 190 pounds.
