Lutheran West wins at Columbia

Lutheran West’s winning ways continue on Wednesday with a 182-222 win over host Columbia.

The Longhorns, who now have five wins this season, totaled just 54 putts in the round.

“The girls’ putting was awesome today,” Lutheran West coach Dave Ressler said. “We still need to work on our second and third shots, but on the green, the girls were lights out today.”

Senior Sam Webb once again dissected the course.

She birdied the second hole and parred the other eight on the way to a 1-under 35.

Junior Callie Wabeke finished with a 45 and senior Nadia Kauntz and sophomore Julia Colton closed out the scoring with identical 51s.

Lutheran West hosts Chagrin Falls in a key league match on Thursday.
