Perry’s Nate Cubbison scores 1,000th point in win over North

PERRY—Javin Richards scored a game-high 19 points in leading Perry to an 88-46 nonconference win over Eastlake North on Tuesday.

Drew Schiano and Nate Cubbison both contributed with 18 points and Devon Holbert also scored in double figures for the Pirates with 10.

Cubbison got off to a slow start but he scored 11 points in the second quarter and he added seven more in the third, including the 1,000th point of his high school career.

Perry led 48-22 at halftime and outscored the Rangers in the second half, 40-24.

The Pirates host Chardon on Monday in a Division II sectional semifinal.
