West Geauga races past Orange

PEPPER PIKE—Two first-half goals set the tone for West Geauga as the Wolverines cruised to a 4-0 win over host Orange in a Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division matchup on Thursday.

Nicola Ehrbar, Rae Ehrbar and Grace Keiper each scored a goal for the Wolverines, who also benefitted from an own-goal.

Frankee Flesher and both of the Ehrbar sisters contributed with an assist. Freshman Ashlyn Drayer recorded three saves and a clean sheet.

With the win, West Geauga improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in league play. Orange dropped to 1-3, 0-1.

Haley Adams is a 2016 graduate of Cardinal High School. She is currently in her third year at Hiram College with a major in Communications and a minor in Writing. Haley, a three-sport standout at Cardinal, has participated in many athletic events at Hiram and plans to become a sports broadcaster.
